Coldplay ‘Kiss Cam’ woman speaks out and makes huge accusation on former boss

Kristin Cabot is now speaking out about her former boss, months after a moment at a Coldplay concert went viral and sparked widespread controversy.

And her new accusation against her former boss is anything but mild…

Long-lasting effects

One of last year’s most viral moments happened in July 2025, when the whole world witnessed one of the most embarrassing moments ever on a concert.

Now, Kristin Cabot, a mother of two, is opening up about her relationship with her former boss, ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, months after the two were seen cozying up together at a Coldplay concert in Boston.

During the show, Cabot and Byron appeared on the venue’s “kiss cam,” where they were seen embracing before quickly trying to hide from view. From the stage, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked that the two might be having an “affair,” a remark that only amplified the situation as the clip circulated online.

The brief but highly publicized incident had long-lasting effects. Cabot later shared that the attention brought intense scrutiny, criticism, and even death threats, profoundly impacting both her personal life and career.

At the time, Cabot was head of human relations at tech company Astronomer, where Byron served as CEO. Both eventually stepped down from their roles following the incident.

Although both were married at the time of the concert, Cabot said she was already in the process of divorcing her estranged husband and believed Byron was in a similar situation.

Now, in a new interview with Oprah Winfrey on The Oprah Podcast released March 17, Cabot shared an update on her relationship with Byron. She revealed that she “ended communication” with him last fall, signaling a definitive break from the connection that first drew public attention.

“There was a big miss on honesty and integrity,” she told Winfrey, adding, “He wasn’t the person he represented himself to be, to me — and lying is a non-negotiable for me.”

When Winfrey asked her to clarify — noting it seemed like she was suggesting Byron may have misled her about being separated from his wife — Cabot declined to provide more details. She explained that it wouldn’t be fair to answer and that she understands what it feels like to have one’s private life exposed publicly.

“I wanna be really careful, because the world spoke for me and on my behalf, and I don’t wanna do that to somebody else and their family,” she said. “A lot of what was represented to me was not true.”

Cabot told The New York Times that in the weeks after the concert, she and Byron stayed in touch, checking in with each other throughout the summer.

“Honestly, a lot of it was like, ‘Hi, it’s 11 o’clock on a Tuesday — any advice?’ ” she recalled.

In a separate interview with The Times of the U.K., Cabot described these conversations as more about “crisis management advice” than personal matters.

By September, the two met for the last time. Cabot said they agreed that continuing to communicate would only make it harder for everyone involved to move on and heal.

Reflecting on the aftermath during her appearance on The Oprah Podcast, Cabot said she feels she and Byron were treated very differently by the public after the kiss cam moment went viral.

As an example, she noted that “every single part of my physical appearance was picked apart.”

While she admitted several times that she made a “mistake,” Cabot said the intense global reaction — both online and offline — felt disproportionately harsh.

“I own the poor decision that I made in that moment, and I’ve paid an unimaginable price for that,” she said.
