Australian escort Lilith Lodge has revealed the most common request when it comes to sex positions among male clients.
In an age where explicit content is never more than a swipe away, you might assume people are constantly chasing new and more adventurous experiences in the bedroom. But according to Lilith Lodge, reality looks a lot more… familiar.
According to her, experimentation is not what dominates. Instead, it’s simplicity. Most clients stick to what they know, she explains to Metro: “Most clients are very basic and standard in what they want.
“It’s not super common, definitely not a weekly event, to have clients ask for something outside of what I feel is ‘normal’. It’s pretty much just missionary.”
Lodge says that even when clients do request variations, they tend to stay within the same frame.
“It can be very uncomfortable and not enjoyable for my clients to do crazy positions, unless they’re a really young guy. Sometimes they’ll ask for missionary with my feet up behind my head, (which not everyone is flexible enough to do), but that’s about it.”
“Missionary position is the go-to”
So while there may be countless alternatives out there, the so-called “vanilla” option continues to dominate. The missionary position remains the most requested, and part of its appeal may lie in its simplicity.
According to Bodyjoys, a website focused on relationships and intimacy, this is also why the position is especially common among new couples.
“Missionary position is the go-to for many first-time couples as it allows them to create a greater connection. Eye contact enhances the emotional connection and makes for a much more sensual experience,” the website reads, according to VT.
“The close proximity of both partners also makes missionary position a winner when it comes to communication. You can adequately communicate what you like and dislike through noises, faces and movements while still enjoying a sensual experience.”
At the same time, it’s not a perfect fit for everyone, something Dr. Louise Goddard-Crawley has also pointed out.
“It also may feel more restrictive compared to other positions that allow for greater movement and range of motion,” she declared. “For some, the missionary position may place pressure on joints, especially the lower back and knees, potentially causing discomfort or pain for extended periods.”
